October at Cadance: A Month of Gratitude, Kindness, and Community

This October let’s celebrate gratitude by not only seeing what we can be thankful for but by acts of kindness to others. In a world that so often needs more gentleness and understanding, small acts, smiling or giving a compliment to another dancer, helping a younger dancer tie a shoe, cheering someone on during a turn, make a huge difference. Those little moments of care can create ripples and help build the supportive Cadance community we’re so proud of.

It has been a wonderful start to our 47th season! Seeing returning faces and so many new friends has filled the studio with energy, and October feels like the perfect month to press pause and say thank you.

This October let’s celebrate gratitude by not only seeing what we can be thankful for but by acts of kindness to others. In a world that so often needs more gentleness and understanding, small acts, smiling or giving a compliment to another dancer, helping a younger dancer tie a shoe, cheering someone on during a turn, make a huge difference. Those little moments of care can create ripples and help build the supportive Cadance community we’re so proud of.

Gratitude has a way of opening hearts and creating more reasons to be thankful. I am deeply grateful for many things: my family, my health, the privilege of serving as Director of Cadance Academy for over 20 years, and living in the beautiful Annapolis Valley where our community comes together so warmly. There are always ups and downs in life, but I believe we have the power to pick ourselves up, refocus on what we can change, and celebrate the abundance already around us ,friendships, opportunities to grow, and progress we may not notice day-to-day.

Thank you for being part of the Cadance Academy. I’m grateful for every student, family member, and our Cadance team who helps make this studio a place of discipline, joy, and kindness.

This October, take a moment to reflect on all that you’re grateful for. It’s important to remember and appreciate the wonderful things in your life.
