Cadance Academy Presents The Nutcracker

Since 2005, Cadance Academy’s beloved annual production of The Nutcracker has delighted families across the Annapolis Valley, bringing a season of wonder, music, and community to the Festival Theatre in Wolfville.

Each year our students bring Clara’s journey to life with polished technique, beautiful stagecraft, and joyful storytelling. Our production is a proud local tradition: since 2006 audiences have gathered to celebrate the dancers’ growth, the sparkle of our costumes, and the shared holiday magic that makes this performance a highlight of the season.

We celebrate the musical vision of conductor Tchaikovsky, whose specially scored arrangement lifts every scene with radiant warmth and fresh colour. His gift of music deepens the emotion of the story and gives our dancers an inspiring musical partner on stage,
a collaboration that families and longtime patrons have come to love.

Audition information
Auditions are held in June and are open to dancers aged 8 and up.
Eligibility requires enrollment in at least one year‑long class at Cadance Academy.
The Nutcracker is cast by audition only.
